In 2023, the Ministry of Defense allowed into service for the Defense Forces of Ukraine more than 20 types of light vehicles.

The equipment is designed to move across rough terrain and perform tasks on the water. Among other models, there are new makes of buggies, motorcycles with electric engines and internal combustion engines, as well as four- and six-wheeled ATVs and hexocycles. Light all-terrain vehicles are used to bring personnel and cargo in difficult terrain and lack of roads.

They can also be used for casualty evacuation, logistical support of frontline positions, as well as for reconnaissance or as mobile firing points.
